This is a great website! Very informative and easy to follow. John's CD is beautiful and inspiring music. It takes you through an array of emotions and feelings. I especially like the way he brings you back to the simple realities of life with his last song "Ma'rrach Rong. Thanks John Herrmann for sharing.

The more I listen, the more I hear. This music touches my soul. John's voice is an incredible instrument. After listening to him sing, so many other pop vocalists sound flat. The intricacies and overlays of guitar work, percussion and keyboard are a rich tapestry of sensual delight for the ear. The many layers of Clay's percussion texture the music with tribal pleasure. Without formal musical training, John has composed detailed pieces, weaving together the beauty of the instruments and allowing the joyful expression of the musicians. The magical connection between the musicians seems to enable each to stretch without constraint. I do hope these sounds reach many souls via recording, but especially via live performance as John's stage presence is so captivating. At performance end, you are addicted, waiting impatiently for the next concert.

John, Clay and all ... I can only say thank you for sharing your vision and your world with us all. I was blessed to see your performance last night in Helena and my soul is still reeling ... needless to say, I've listened to the CD already twice this morning and have recorded it onto cassette for my car travels. You've touched me deeply. Nancy

Wonderful music, my husband and I listen to the CD all the time. Of course, we could be biased because I am Clay's sister. But to be truthful I did not love the Heavy Metal music he sent last time. One thing we need a couple of your promotional packages. A good friend of ours is a great guitarist who just got himself another recording contract and knows people in NYC, and the World Cafe ( syndicated cool music program) originates in Philadelphia and we know someone who used to work there and could help us get it to the right people (if you haven't already sent one yourself). Anyhow, say hi to my brother for me, as always I miss seeing him.

in so few words you portray simple truths. unfiltered, raw, pure, exposed...the very things that are missing from most interactions today. your connection with the earth speaks to me. i feel it in your melodies, rhythms, dialogue, in the synergy between yourself and clay. your music, to me, is an offering, a giving of thanks, a rebirth.
