John's  J u l y   Newsletter

Greetings,

Quite some time has passed since I last wrote.  Firstly I would like to wish you a Happy 4th of July Holiday, albeit belatedly, and hope this short newsletter finds you well.

Remember - www.elephantcountry.com is no longer.  In preparation for the new CD being released we now have a new address www.johnandreherrmann.com.  Brother Richard will be presenting a brand new look in conjunction with the release of the new CD.  I have seen some of the new website and it looks very nice indeed.

I  am though, not able to say the CD is finished.  I am able to say that I am still in the throes of it…and have acquired a Pro Tools recording system...what does this mean?  This means that the album will be finished.  I am now in charge of my destiny (recording wise, that is).

I'll be settling into a house at an undisclosed location in order to finish recording and editing this long overdue, but well-worth-the-wait CD.  I will still be working with the great talents of John Jacob and Colin Mahoney.

Elephant Country is now available for purchase from the great independent music based website www.cdbaby.com, a great place to find Independent Artists like Tim Finn, formerly of “Split Enz,” one of my early musical  influences and Colin Haye, formerly “Men At Work”.  CD Baby has also distributed my music to many electronic store fronts such as Rhapsody and iTunes.

Also, thanks to the talents of Lisa Hazlett in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, some new photos will be appearing soon, like the one on the main page.

Thank you for your patience and support. I hope you have a great summer!

All the Best,

John Andre Herrmann
This was a temporary setup in Kansas inside a Winnebago parked in somebody's drive way.  I lived in there for a little while...and recorded "Submarine" during this visit.
